About The Position

The Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Lead Engineer designs, builds, supports, and maintains Hertz’s global IGA infrastructure. The role ensures secure and consistent identity lifecycle automation, access governance, provisioning, and synchronization services across enterprise systems. It combines core development skills with DevOps practices and partners with internal teams and external vendors to support business governance needs, security standards, and operational reliability.

The engineer owns IGA infrastructure, project delivery, audit support, and security governance activities; supports consistency and availability across regional applications and infrastructure; and provides technical guidance and mentoring for IGA service design, implementation, and operations. The role also gathers requirements, defines support and management processes, documents solutions, and participates in pilots, change and problem management, project work, and global 24/7 support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 6 years of hands-on Identity & Access Management experience in large, global environments, with a dedicated focus on designing and implementing identity governance platforms.
• Advanced engineering experience with Java or Groovy for complex business rules, provisioning logic, and custom platform modifications.
• Ability to write scripts from scratch and work with, modify, and enhance an existing codebase.
• Deep technical proficiency with REST APIs and JSON/XML processing.
• Experience with automated API validation using developer tools such as Postman.
• Proven ability to integrate diverse applications using out-of-the-box and custom web services/JDBC connectivity.
• Hands-on CI/CD automation experience using DevOps orchestration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions for code and infrastructure deployment.
• Leadership presence and ability to articulate identity governance topics to leadership, stakeholders, and auditors.

• Experience designing and implementing identity governance platforms, preferably Saviynt.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Java-based workflows, business rules, and platform configurations to automate the identity lifecycle.
• Architect and implement REST API integrations and SCIM web services connecting downstream enterprise systems to the core IGA platform.
• Build, configure, and maintain IGA connectors, including JDBC, web services, cloud SaaS, file-based, and directory connectors, to onboard target applications.
• Own CI/CD pipeline automation for codebase and configuration deployment, converting manual provisioning tasks into repeatable automated workflows.
• Follow deployment processes for new initiatives, including build, transition, and phase-gate reviews with stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging IGA technologies, standards, and tools, including identity security for Agentic AI.
• Own IGA infrastructure, project delivery, audit support, and security governance activities.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance, mentoring, and support for IGA service design, implementation, and operations.
• Support consistency, availability, integration, and configuration across regional IGA applications and infrastructure.
• Gather project and application requirements from customers, business partners, and stakeholders.
• Define support requirements, management infrastructure, and process documentation for IGA solutions.
• Develop, document, and support scripts for enterprise identity synchronization and automated access certification solutions.
• Ensure third-party solutions align with Hertz standards and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Participate in technology pilots, change and problem management processes, assigned project work, and global 24/7 support as needed.
• Communicate identity governance topics to leadership, stakeholders, and internal and external auditors.
