Requirements

  • 5+ years in Full Rigging Activities of Varian products
  • Strong technical background in biomedical & mechanical assembly
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time which will include North and South Americas and occasional overseas travel as required
  • Ability to complete Rigger training required in North & South America locations
  • Ability to be flexible with Overtime requests to include some weekends.
  • This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy.
  • To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
  • A successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

  • Experience with Medical Radiation Oncology equipment or related high technology equipment facilities design and capital equipment installation

Responsibilities

  • Execute all Rigging training activities assigned, which are coordinated via manager, in an adequate and appropriate manner. It will include all certification training of all riggers in North America. LATAM, to include overseas personnel if required.
  • Train Third party contingent workers in the region assigned on all rigging and extended rigging tasks described within our Hardware rigging manuals.
  • Communicating and accepting all operative advice from the Global Rigging Manager.
  • Maintain training logs in ensuring all riggers assigned to him are certified every two years and continuation training is provided within the interim timescales.
  • Ensure optimal performance and high quality is maintained in all rigging activities performed by our third-party contractors.
  • Escalate any risk to safety or quality incidents directly to his manager.
  • Inform Customer Service Team and raise incident report or escalation issues.
  • Report any customer complaints with proper documentation to the CCC.
  • Ensure the third-party contractors use proper calibrated tools & test equipment and report the usage within their daily reports and checklist.
  • Maintain highest customer satisfaction, within the framework of Siemens Healthineers, Customer Services.
