About The Position

CLARK Material Handling Company, is a 100 year old company, and a global leader in the material handling and forklift industry. CLARK is seeking qualified candidates to join our team. The Sr. Human Resources Manager is a key member of the Sr. Leadership team and serves as a trusted advisor to the executive staff, and all levels of management. This position will create and drive HR strategies and processes that align with business plans and strategic objectives. This position is responsible for a wide range of functions including but not limited to HR strategy, organization design & effectiveness, talent management/employee development, cultural transformation, employee engagement, Benefits, retirement welfare, payroll & HR Information Systems, compliance, policies, compensation, leave management, employee relations, succession planning & workers compensation. This role has multi-site responsibility for locations in Texas & Kentucky. This is an exempt level role and an onsite position that is based in Flower Mound, TX, reporting to the Sr. VP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Sr. leader, preferably in a director-level role.
  • Model an enthusiastic, forward thinking and "make things happen" personality, as well as a strong executive presence.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams.
  • Must be able to Foster an open environment where employees trust Human Resources and are willing to share their concerns while also balancing the needs of the company.
  • Must be available to travel occasionally. Most travel is domestic to other company facilities or training.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or logistics industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a long-term HR strategies that aligns with the company growth targets and overall business plan objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate HR initiatives into the broader organizational strategy.
  • Identify key performance indicators for the human resource function and assess the organizations success and market competitiveness.
  • Design, execute & lead talent acquisition & management strategies that improve the full cycle recruiting, retention & succession planning results to reduce turnover while enhancing & promoting the company reputation as a Best Place to Work.
  • Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and employee incentive programs.
  • Conduct regular market analyses to ensure the company's total rewards package remains competitive.
  • Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Address and resolve workplace issues promptly, investigation of harassment and other complaints, responses of regulatory agency inquiries while maintaining a healthy and inclusive work environment.
  • Create and maintain a culture that promotes a union-free environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation career development, diversity, change management, and recognition programs.
  • Lead process for continual review, education and dissemination of policies and procedures to limit legal exposure.
  • Responsible for development and compliance of benefit plans including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness, life insurance, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Responsible for plan design, rollout of new plan offerings, contract management and vendor/broker selection.
  • Oversee multi-state payroll & tax processing in headquarters ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Responsible for new policy development, policy compliance with applicable employment law, and company-wide rollout for changes.
  • Design, deliver and implement training programs on various business, human resource, and leadership topics to develop talent and leadership capabilities.
  • Coach managers and their teams on the development of others to advance talent throughout the company.
  • Facilitates annual succession planning and talent review within the company.
  • Lead 9-box assessments with managers.
  • Implement succession plans and development priorities based on talent review to meet business and talent objectives.
  • Lead, develop & participate in community engagement & outreach activities with local organizations to strengthen the company's community presence.
  • Drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
