About The Position

We are looking for a Sr. HR Business Partner to support the Operations organization at our Concord Campus. As a Sr. HRBP, you will act as a trusted advisor, coach, and a strategic consultant to Operations leaders navigate labour relations issues, manage change and develop the necessary skill sets for future growth. This role is ideal for a senior HR professional who is comfortable navigating both strategic and operational environments.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience along with CHRP designation or +7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven expertise in employee relations in a unionized environment, performance management, and talent planning.
  • Data fluency and the ability to turn insights into influence and action
  • High comfort navigating ambiguity, change, and competing priorities
  • Strong collaborator, with demonstrated ability to partner with all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers, providing high-level guidance on labor relations, workforce planning, policy interpretation, and legislative compliance across the Ontario region.
  • Partnering with both leadership and union(s), ensure that any employee relations issues are identified, reported, investigated, and resolved. Lead grievance meetings and provide strategic support for arbitrations and collective agreement negotiations. Advise and support on the temp labour strategy, including performance concerns, temp to perm conversion and agency management.
  • Guide leaders in constructive ways to model behavior to drive engagement and develop high performing teams. Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our performance management framework—ensuring it not only drives business results but also fosters a culture of growth, accountability, and recognition. Advise leaders on discipline, terminations, and progressive discipline frameworks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, equipping them with the tools, insights, and confidence to have meaningful performance conversations, address challenges proactively, and recognize achievements effectively.
  • Ensure compliance to Employment Standards (Ontario ESA), Health and Safety legislation and policies, and collective agreement obligations.
  • Analyze performance metrics, engagement survey results, and turnover trends to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities. Present actionable insights to leadership to shape workforce strategies.
  • Support the team through organizational transitions, helping leaders manage change effectively while minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous professional development.
