About The Position

Quantum Research International, Inc. In addition to our corporate office, we have physical locations in Aberdeen, MD; Colorado Springs, CO; Crestview, FL, Orlando, FL; and Tupelo, MS MISSION Quantum is seeking a Sr. Desktop Support/Systems Administrator to support their Corporate Headquarters Team in Huntsville, AL as well as the Cyber Security Center.

Requirements

  • 3+ plus years of experience with Desktop support with System Administration duties
  • AS/ BS degree desired in IT /CIS or related field, but 5 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in the following areas are a plus: Windows OS, VMware, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, CIFS, NFS, and printer server configurations, Enterprise antimalware/antivirus, TCPIP, Intune, WSUS, GPOs, Microsoft M365, PC maintenance/Drivers
  • Applicable Certifications include any of the following: A+, Security+, Network+, MCSA/MCSE
  • Selected applicants will be subject to a government security clearance and must be able to maintain

  • Server/Network monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Work and Update Trouble Tickets
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Image PC
  • Bitlocker administration
  • Create/maintain End User accounts (AD/M365) including onboarding and offboarding users
  • Support Enterprise Applications to include local file share (CIFS/NFS), Outlook, OneDrive, Teams/SharePoint, and SFTP
  • Maintain and update IT Asset Management (ITAM)
  • Support mobile devices to include Andriod and iPhone (Apple iOS ).
  • Assist with Windows Server administration (patching, roles/features)
  • Execute Group Policy changes and updates
  • Perform basic virtualization tasks (VM snapshots, provisioning, resource adjustments)
  • Support BitLocker administration
  • Assist with file services (CIFS/NFS) and SFTP systems
  • Perform basic Linux server patching and package updates
  • Participate in change management and system change requests
  • Other duties as assigned to the department
