About The Position

Pinnergy is a diversified energy services company with a broad and comprehensive service offering to customers throughout Texas and Louisiana and is one of the largest independent oilfield service companies in its industry. Pinnergy has an immediate opening for a Sr. Help Desk Associate working out of our Godley, TX location. The Sr. Help Desk Associate is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and networks within the organization. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Good problem-solving skill.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Quality focus.
  • PC proficiency.
  • Reasonable commute (preferably within 30 minutes of Godley, TX)
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Looking for immediate employment.

Nice To Haves

  • College a plus
  • IT Certifications a plus
  • Prior IT help desk experience preferred 5-7 years.
  • Familiarity with telephone, Office Suite, and ticketing software a plus
  • Knowledge of the Oilfield is a plus.
  • Azure Cloud/on-premises network knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure hardware and software components, including operating systems, applications, and network devices.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions to maintain optimal system functionality.
  • Recommend and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data and systems, including access controls, firewalls, and regular security audits.
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure appropriate access to resources.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, provide technical support to end-users, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases, patches, and security updates, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage cloud-based resources and services, ensuring their security and optimal performance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in system administration.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex issues and implement new systems or upgrades.
