About The Position

This role involves underwriting Conventional and/or Government Loans, proactively managing a pipeline of loans with a sense of ownership, and reviewing all mortgage-related documentation for accuracy and completeness to meet TLS guidelines and investor requirements. The position requires performing compliance reviews, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining excellent credit quality and daily production standards.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of mortgage Agency (Conventional and or Government) underwriting experience required
• Proficiency with automated underwriting systems such as DU and LPA
• Self-starter with strong work ethics and professionalism
• Team-player and able to work autonomously to meet critical deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Encompass knowledge preferred
• BA or BS highly desired

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Conventional and / or Government Loans
• Proactively manage a pipeline of loans with a sense of ownership, including daily condition reviews
• Review all mortgage related documentation for accuracy and completeness and meet TLS guidelines
• Review to ensure investor requirements are met
• Request missing documentation necessary to complete the underwriting decision prescriptively and concisely
• Accurately perform compliance reviews and escalations as necessary
• Provide excellent customer service through friendly, professional and responsive communication with both internal and external customers
• Maintain excellent credit quality and daily production standards
