About The Position

Forge is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). This project involves a modern cloud-based customer software engagement aimed at introducing new digital capabilities for Army Installation and Enterprise Master Planning. The role requires collaboration with a large development team, performing key tasks for critical application elements and modules, and providing Esri/GIS expertise to advise the customer and project team on best practices.

Requirements

US Citizen
15-20 years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
Strong proficiency in ESRI software products, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of spatial databases (SQL Server)
Experience with GIS data management, spatial analysis, and geoprocessing
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to follow security protocols to protect sensitive data
U.S. Citizen is required
Active Security Clearance is required

Nice To Haves

Security+CE certification is desired

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, or coordinate development and coding activities for GIS information systems and underlying data structures.
Design, develop, and maintain Esri apps and tools.
Perform testing on developed features, enhancements, and fixes to ensure product readiness for customer review.
Design and manage spatial databases and data models.
Perform spatial analysis and data visualization to support decision-making processes.
Support integration of GIS with other technologies and systems.
Support customer feedback review and provide development team disposition on collected feedback as well as new feature and enhancement requests.
Update product backlogs with the latest ticket status.
Development and maintenance of system requirements documentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Stay updated with the latest GIS technologies and industry trends.
Maintain Active Security Clearance.
