About The Position

The Senior GIS Analyst develops, implements, and executes work using Geospatial Information System (GIS) data to produce regulatory and compliance reports. The role supports the GP&P MAOP Standardization Engineering Analysis by bridging non-GIS project personnel and GIS workbook exports used to relate MAOP documentation to GIS data for pipes and components. Producing accurate, repeatable results for Transmission System reporting, including annual Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) reports, is central to the work. The position also supports collection, processing, and integration of imagery into Consumers Energy’s Electric GIS platform. It works with remote sensing data and enterprise GIS datasets to support field inspections, data collection, asset condition assessment, and compliance reporting. The selected candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement, onsite Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, at an assigned Consumers Energy Service Center in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Jackson or Grand Rapids is preferred; the candidate must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate.
