About The Position

This position will require completing all aspects of 3D scanning from field data collection to developing point cloud end deliverables using a variety of software. Projects will consist of but are not limited to: mapping plant settings/rooms/infrastructures (indoor and outdoor), dimensional measurements, alignments and reverse engineering support. Individual will coordinate tasks for team members, engage with customers and collaborate across teams as needed. Works independently to establish identify and develop solutions to meet expectations with the highest level of detail and accuracy according to company defined quality standards. Travel: Up to 75% to client locations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM disciplines (Land Surveying & Mapping, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Civil, Mechanical or Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or similar STEM field) with minimum 4 years of related experience OR Associate's degree and 6 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience
Proficient with Office Applications
Ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at knees and waist.
Lift up to 50 lbs
Good verbal and written communication
Developed problem solving and analytical skills
Detail oriented
Demonstrated experience working independently and managing assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
Ability to understand customer needs and develop innovative solutions
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Nice To Haves

Proficient with data registration, data capturing, working with the following programs/applications: LEICA software packages, NAVVIS software packages, FARO Software, GeoMagic DesignX, Geomagic ControlX, Polyworks, Computer Aided Design (CAD)
General working knowledge of 3D Laser Scanning

Responsibilities

Perform data collection and data processing utilizing a variety of 3D survey instruments and software.
Review data to ensure all information is collected and processed as required to meet customer needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with IT, Supply, Customers and Vendors to address any issues appropriately, coordinate site visits to for kickoff/data collection/processing, develop viable solutions to meet customer needs, and grow the scope of the program.
Define and track project scope with customer.
Prepare estimates for jobs.
Provide status updates on jobs as requested to customer and leadership.
Lead team meetings.
Training and mentoring of others on team on data collection and data processing.
Provide team feedback as necessary to grow and develop.
Ensure equipment, hardware and software is maintained and managed appropriately.
Develop program processes and procedures as needed.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
