About The Position

The Sr. Generation Program Manager manages Long Term Service Agreements with major turbine and generator original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and develops and implements comprehensive program strategies for the Regulated and Renewable Energy (RRE) fleet of turbines and generators. Strategies address corporate objectives, financial goals, regulatory requirements, technology limitations, and OEM/vendor relationships. The role ensures that consistent plans, processes, documentation, and standards are developed, trained, implemented, and exercised across RRE sites. This is the expert level in the Generation Program Manager hierarchy. The incumbent independently resolves the most complex, high-impact, and cross-functional problems, provides strategic consultation, and may submit proposals to senior leadership with wide latitude for unreviewed work. The role calls for leadership, organizational knowledge, strategic vision, technical expertise, and financial or economic analysis to optimize program results. It also requires strong communication and coordination skills to lead complex technical projects involving other departments, consultants, industry groups, and management at all levels. The position is hybrid after the onboarding period. Employees must live within a reasonable commute—no more than 50 miles one way—from their designated Duke Energy facility and are expected to report there as directed, averaging three full workdays per regular workweek. The primary location is the TGS Lark Facility in the Mt. Holly/Charlotte area. Travel is listed as 15–20% in one section and 15–25% in another. Relocation assistance may be provided, as applicable. The role is not visa-sponsored; candidates must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship.
