About The Position

Ovative Group is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to join its product and engineering development team. This role takes a leadership position on a cross-functional team that creates, optimizes, and maintains scalable software and data solutions, working with internal and client stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle from concept through deployment. The engineer will develop and maintain an existing software product, support client onboarding and ongoing client needs, and guide technical decisions and engineering practices. The role also involves mentoring teammates, collaborating with business users to translate objectives into technical requirements, and encouraging adoption of emerging technologies.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
High proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages, such as Python, Java, or C#.
High proficiency with data structures and design patterns.
Experience with software testing best practices, such as unit, integration, and smoke testing.
Experience building and deploying containerized application code.
Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD.
Experience working with relational databases.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain an existing software product, onboard new clients, and support existing clients.
Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions connecting ELT and ETL pipelines with a client-facing website.
Lead, design, advise on, and implement data engineering solutions for robust data vending and organization-wide data utilization.
Identify automation opportunities, focusing on operational stability of software applications and systems.
Work with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand business goals, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, recommendations, and reports.
Evaluate trade-offs among correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact when selecting scalable solutions.
Mentor teammates and help develop their skills through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Advance and ensure adherence to engineering best practices for code quality, documentation, testing, security, deployment, and performance.
Troubleshoot complex software issues and provide effective solutions.
Contribute guidance and mentorship to architectural decisions, code reviews, and project direction.
Foster continuous learning about emerging technologies and software engineering trends.
Ensure adherence to SDLC and DevOps best practices and maintain quality and security across development phases.
