About The Position

Mitratech is seeking a Sr Full Stack Engineer to help build its HR software, with a focus on the practical application of AI and background screening technology. The role involves developing the company’s core B2B SaaS application and applying a critical sense of user experience. The position can be performed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable web services; write primarily Go code; and architect PostgreSQL schemas and queries. The role also leads research, prototyping, and implementation of AI-powered tools to improve the software development lifecycle, including intelligent code completion, automated reviews, and CI/CD optimizations. The engineer collaborates with product managers, designers, and engineers, and mentors colleagues while promoting technical best practices and continuous improvement. The anticipated annual pay range is $150,000–$170,000 USD. Total compensation includes US employee benefits and annual bonus eligibility.

Requirements

Deep proficiency across the full stack of B2B SaaS, including vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on the front end; Go preferred for the back end, with Ruby, Python, or PHP also acceptable; and PostgreSQL for databases.
A product-first mindset and demonstrated ability to consider the user's perspective, with a keen eye for user experience and design.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect solutions for complex distributed systems.
Strong communication skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web services for the core B2B SaaS application.
Write clean, high-quality, well-tested code, primarily in Go.
Architect and manage complex database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.
Research, prototype, and implement AI-powered tools that accelerate the software development lifecycle, including intelligent code completion, automated reviews, and CI/CD pipeline optimizations.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate user requirements into user-centric solutions.
Mentor other engineers, champion best practices, and contribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement.
