This position involves leading and providing solutions supporting front-end requirements and features, capable of coordinating and delivering user interface and experience across USPTO for Patent Center modules. The role requires the ability to lead design meetings, support junior developers, ensure code quality through code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues. The developer will also provide off-hours support on a rotating basis and work with USPTO Product Managers and UX designers to translate requirements and business objectives into complete user interfaces. Key activities include leading UI/UX design and development, user sessions, wireframes, 508 compliance, browser compatibility, and coding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field experience
• 10+ years experience
• Advanced knowledge of Angular (6–20), AngularJS, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, RxJS, Angular Material, Bootstrap, Kendo UI.
• HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, responsive & mobile-first design, accessibility (WCAG / Section 508 / AODA).
• Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle

Nice To Haves

• Backend knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and Node.js integration
• Understanding of AWS architecture, AI technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide solutions supporting front-end requirements and features.
