About The Position

DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Sr. Forklift Field Mechanic in Southeast Houston! We are looking for experienced, mechanically skilled technicians with strong diagnostic and repair experience who are ready to interview immediately! Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul forklifts and related material handling equipment. Inspect equipment to identify mechanical failures, repair or replace damaged and worn components, and perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments. Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hand tools, power tools, and hoists; repair and fit bearings and other mechanical components; and test completed repairs to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Read and interpret service manuals, technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment specifications to accurately diagnose and complete repairs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of mechanical experience with specific hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing forklifts.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced equipment maintenance skills.
• Advanced mechanical repair skills.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree, vocational/technical school training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
