About The Position

The Senior Flight Scheduler is responsible for managing and coordinating flight scheduling operations for students, instructors, and staff across multiple flight training locations. This position supervises student employees and ensures efficient scheduling, data integrity, and operational continuity of flight training activities. This role serves as a key liaison between Flight Operations, the Office of the Registrar, IT teams, and other university departments to ensure accurate integration of flight scheduling systems and student data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, IT, Aviation, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant work experience in scheduling, operations, or student support
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working with complex information systems and data management tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ETA, SIMS, or Campus Solutions systems
  • Knowledge of flight training operations and academic scheduling processes
  • Experience with timekeeping, scheduling, or operational systems
  • Familiarity with FAA and accreditation-related requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily scheduling operations for flights, simulators, and check rides
  • Supervise student staff and coordinate scheduling activities across locations
  • Manage student flight blocks, instructor assignments, and course registration
  • Maintain and update scheduling systems (ETA/SIMS) and ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate checkrides, DPE availability, and rescheduling due to disruptions
  • Serve as liaison with Registrar, IT, and internal departments
  • Monitor compliance with academic and operational requirements
  • Prepare reports and provide insights to department leadership
