Responsibilities

  • Perform mid-month, month end, forecast and budget duties related to fixed assets, leases, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Enact capitalizations, asset tag assignment (including audits), depreciation, and disposal actions – essentially all fixed asset accounting.
  • Prepare financial analysis to quote new opportunities for MPT Shelby plant with support from Plant Controller and Troy Program Controlling, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Adhere to CalcIt and SCS standards to ensure consistency in quote financial preparations for prioritizing capital spend.
  • Control project budgets in Magna Capital System (MCS), reconcile to SAP project module, work with program manager for Planview inputs and report out to Plant General Manager monthly.
  • Act as the plant liaison between Ramos shared service team and plant. Problem solve issues between shared service function and local staff (past due items with customers or suppliers).
  • Quote activity will be delegated by the plant controller after alignment with Troy sales, advanced manufacturing engineering, program controlling, and program management teams.
  • Process costing calculations for supplier quality issue debits and ensure collection.
  • Manage fixed assets and leases with Senior Manager Program Management and Plant Controller from project approval until asset disposal.
  • Complete annual internal controls requirements such as tax packages, controllers model file, annual physical inventory, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, regular internal audit requests, Magna minimum control procedures and assigned items.
  • Conduct departmental controller duties by working with assigned plant staff leader.
  • Possess an ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly with an open curiosity for learning the business.
  • Be an apprentice to the Assistant Controller on cost reporting, inventory control, and consolidation reporting.
  • Adhere and participate in assigned MAFACT and certification efforts.
