About The Position

Gartner is seeking a well-rounded Senior Financial Analyst to provide critical business partner support to the Sales team. This role involves supporting Sales with budgeting, forecasting, financial management, reporting, analysis, and mission-critical priorities. Collaboration and teamwork are essential, as the analyst will work with individuals across various business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance required. Major in Accounting, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related area preferred
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business analytics, financial reporting, or accounting
  • Superior financial modeling and data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Effective communication skills and a capacity to distill complex concepts into actionable information
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • The ability to work independently and with a global, cross functional team to consistently deliver flawless work solutions within aggressive (and changing) time constraints

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of PBCS, PowerBI and US GAAP

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate value-added financial analysis using our various systems to give senior management the critical insights necessary to make proper business decisions
  • Clearly articulate results and variances to FP&A leadership in the monthly results meetings
  • Produce financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts
  • Partner with various teams (Accounting, Operations, HR, Recruiting, People Analytics, etc.) to improve our data quality
  • Leverage technology and process improvements to drive continuous innovation and quicker turnaround times
  • Assist in knowledge transfer to new and/or other analysts
