About The Position

Pattern is seeking a high-impact Sr. Financial Analyst to revolutionize how we analyze and optimize our technology infrastructure, with a direct focus on the high-growth frontier of AI, storage, and compute costs. In this role, you won’t just run reports—you’ll take command of critical workstreams, forge powerful partnerships between our engineering and finance teams, and play a pivotal role in shaping Pattern’s investment strategies. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based at our headquarters in Lehi, UT.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in a finance operating role at a high-growth technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant fields
  • Background in infrastructure, data centers, compute, cloud, semiconductors, or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and succeed in unfamiliar operating environments
  • Comfort independently structuring ambiguous problems and working through incomplete information
  • Track record of producing high-quality work under ambitious deadlines
  • Effectiveness in multidisciplinary, cross-functional environments
  • Familiarity with data systems, analytical tools, and large datasets preferred but not required

  • Proactively identifies cost-saving or efficiency opportunities within complex compute, storage, and AI infrastructure datasets.
  • Translates technical infrastructure metrics into clear, actionable financial models that influence leadership decision-making.
  • Builds strong, trusting partnerships across finance and engineering teams, effectively communicating financial constraints and opportunities.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality, 'audit-ready' analyses and Board-level presentations under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a 'Game Changer' mindset by continuously improving reporting processes and tackling ambiguous data problems independently.
  • You will take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis for AI usage, compute, storage, and software costs
  • Perform investment analysis and evaluate commercial decisions and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare high-quality analyses, recommendations, and Exec and Board-facing presentations
  • Support business partners across compute infrastructure, FP&A, and strategic finance.
