About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. We are looking for a strategic finance professional to join Blue Origin's Corporate FP&A team, focused on supporting mergers & acquisitions, investment analysis, and strategic business development initiatives. This role will serve as the primary finance partner to Corporate Development, providing rigorous financial analysis to support high-impact decisions that shape Blue Origin's long-term trajectory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or strategic finance
  • Strong financial modeling skills — DCF, LBO, merger models, and scenario analysis
  • Experience leading or supporting M&A due diligence processes end-to-end
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, executive-ready narratives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable working across functions and with senior leadership

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CFA
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or capital-intensive industries
  • Familiarity with government contracting or NSSL-related business structures
  • Prior experience in a corporate development or strategic finance function at a high-growth company

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial due diligence on M&A targets, partnerships, and strategic investments — including quality of earnings, financial model review, and risk assessment
  • Build and maintain complex financial models (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, scenario analysis) to evaluate potential transactions and strategic alternatives
  • Partner closely with Corporate Development on deal evaluation, structuring, and integration planning
  • Develop investment memos and executive-level presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Support post-close integration activities, including financial reporting alignment and synergy tracking
  • Contribute to the long-range plan (LRP) by incorporating strategic initiatives and inorganic growth assumptions
  • Identify and assess capital allocation opportunities across the enterprise
