Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr Financial Analyst (Governmental Reimbursement). In this role, the successful candidate with the Decision Support, Strategy & Governmental Reimbursement Team (DSS & Gov) Overview: The Decision Support team is an essential asset to the health system, providing Cost Accounting, benchmarking, regulatory reimbursement, and analytical services to inform sound business decisions across the institution. The team's reimbursement function encompasses Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation, third-party payer analysis, government program compliance, and revenue optimization strategies. The team is comprised of 25 FTEs and supported by a fully dedicated IT group. The Decision Support team partners directly with clinical, operational, and cross-functional teams across the enterprise to inform and assist in the achievement of institutional goals. Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Governmental Reimbursement, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) is responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and financial analysis in support of the Reimbursement Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of regulatory cost reports, government program submissions, and third-party reimbursement analyses. The SFA will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Treasury, and clinical departments to optimize reimbursement outcomes while maintaining strict compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in advanced data tools and financial systems, and the ability to manage complex datasets and regulatory requirements in a dynamic healthcare environment.
