About The Position

The TELUS PureFibre team is expanding its broadband network, connecting homes and businesses. They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support forecasting and analysis of the multi-year capital allocation and operating financials for this network expansion. The role involves being a process owner for key growth initiatives, supporting financial planning, reporting, evaluation, and management of the PureFibre program. This includes developing financial models for commercial agreements and supporting the budget and forecasting process.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3-5 years experience in finance operations, FP&A, or management consulting, including developing and maintaining budgets, processes, and reporting dashboards.
• Demonstrated ability to address questions and exceptions related to payments, budgets, and reports in a timely manner while managing competing priorities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Google Office Suite.
• Advanced knowledge of English is required for interaction with external and internal parties, and for working with IT tools.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or CFA designation completed or in progress.
• Experience in the telecommunications, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
• Experience in a role that required interaction with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage program requirements including monthly forecast updates, supporting variance analysis and exceptions.
• Build clear, compelling narratives and materials to support communication of recommendations to various leadership levels.
• Develop and present scenario planning outcomes.
• Continuously improve financial planning tools and their integration with source systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Analyze data and structure models to give TELUS a competitive edge in evaluating mission critical programs.
