About The Position

The Sr. Financial Analyst – Data, Digital & Marketing Analytics will work closely with the Director of FP&A to support the finance relationship with the Digital and Marketing teams. Our Finance team supports the teams that grow the business as proactive analytical advisors, rather than simply reporting the numbers. This individual will help drive analytics for financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across digital sales channels and marketing spend, turning data and information into clear business insights and identifying the key business drivers that explain those results. In addition, this role will support broader FP&A data reporting, and other ad hoc consolidated reporting requests. The right person for this role is a team player, proactive and self-motivated, brings good judgment, and strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 4-6+ years of experience in business or financial analysis within a marketing, e-commerce, or digital/marketplace environment
  • Experience working directly with marketing, e-commerce, or marketplace business partners is a strong plus
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and/or long-range planning processes
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI-powered platforms, with the ability to apply them practically to data analytics, financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Fluency in marketing/e-commerce terminology and metrics: CAC, LTR, LTV, ROAS, CPM, CPC, conversion rate, AOV, retention/churn, funnel metrics, and similar
  • Advanced Excel and Power Query skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex data sets and distill them into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong ability to connect data trends to underlying business drivers and explain the financial and operational "why," not just the "what"
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analysis to both finance and non-finance audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Experience with BI/visualization/AI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Claude) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own weekly reporting of digital sales results versus AOP/forecast/Prior Year, identifying and drafting explanations for variances down to root-cause business drivers (e.g., new customer acquisition, AOV, auto-ship volume, promo efficiency, sell-in vs. sell-through dynamics)
  • Track marketing and promotional activations, financial performance, channel mix shifts, and project ROI
  • Help translate finance output into clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders, and translate digital/marketing data into financial terms for finance leadership
  • Own and maintain a suite of digital/marketing KPIs (CAC, LTR, LTV, ROAS, CPM, conversion rate, retention/churn, AOV, frequency, etc.) across owned e-commerce and digital marketplace customers, ensuring consistent tracking and reporting
  • Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reporting packages for leadership review
  • Monitor performance trends and proactively flag risks and opportunities
  • Parse and analyze large, complex data sets from multiple systems (marketing platforms, e-commerce/web analytics, marketplace seller/vendor portals, finance systems) into coherent, decision-ready reporting
  • Identify the underlying business drivers behind performance trends and help quantify their financial impact
  • Help roll forward and maintain complex financial models each month, updating them with the latest business drivers, actuals, and assumptions from topline through contribution margin
  • Gather, organize, and validate underlying source data to support model updates and first-draft AOP/forecast outputs
  • Contribute to upside and risk scenario modeling, incorporating channel-level growth assumptions, trends, and sales driver trajectories
  • Own end-to-end production of weekly company-wide sales reporting for leadership
  • Help the broader FP&A team ensure marketing inputs are properly reflected in total-company reporting and forecasts
  • Other reporting and ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Serve as day-to-day finance support for Digital and Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with broader FP&A team, Accounting, and Data/Analytics teams to align on data definitions, financial treatment, and reporting cadence
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to digital channels and marketing expenses (accruals, reclasses, reporting)
