Requirements
- Two or more years of construction materials testing experience required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification required.
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification required.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and distinguish sounds accurately.
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to climb occasionally and work at varying heights.
- Ability to work overnight and non-traditional shifts.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Additional ACI certifications and other industry-related certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate testing equipment and perform field testing of soils, concrete, and other construction materials, providing assessments through detailed reporting.
- Utilize project drawings, specifications, and diagrams to perform testing and inspections.
- Follow established methods and procedures to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of test results.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project team members.
