Requirements

Two years of Construction Materials Testing experience required
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent
ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Level 1
Nuclear Density Experience
Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
Ability to work over night hours and off shift

Responsibilities

Performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
Operating testing equipment and performing laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials while accurately evaluating and reporting test data.
Utilizing construction drawings, specifications, plans, and diagrams to support testing and inspection activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Following established testing methods and procedures to conduct detailed observations of site activities, document findings, and provide limited interpretation of results.
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of testing activities, observations, and data collected throughout the course of each project.
