The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for the safe, accurate and professional operation of the crew, provide direction to the Operators, in charge of field operation and is responsible for all of the equipment. The Sr. Field Service Technician executes valve and hydrant operations and maintenance in the field as well as data collection activities. This role involves working outdoors in various types of weather, traffic, and environmental conditions to assess, operate, and maintain valves and fire hydrants.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working in a field-based or construction environment
  • Strong communication skills; must be able to understand technical operating procedures, ask questions, and share observations (primary language in the work environment is English)
  • Good understanding of technology and/or mechanics and the ability to problem-solve
  • Valid driver’s license with a reasonable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe, accurate and professional operation of the crew
  • Provide direction to the Operators
  • In charge of field operation and responsible for all of the equipment
  • Execute valve and hydrant operations and maintenance in the field
  • Perform data collection activities
  • Work outdoors in various types of weather, traffic, and environmental conditions to assess, operate, and maintain valves and fire hydrants
  • Support tool/equipment assembly and disassembly under supervision, including cleaning tools and equipment
  • Actively participate in onsite safety and planning meetings to review safety risks and areas of concern based on planning documentation and onsite observations
  • Keep site clean and free from potential tripping and safety hazards
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR, and DOT physicals
