About The Position

In this role, you will serve as a Senior Facilities Project Manager responsible for the end-to-end execution and oversight of government facilities renovation, upgrade, or repair projects, from initial planning through final close-out. The successful completion of these projects requires a solid background in managing the full lifecycle of public works or federal facility construction.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities planning, construction management, or capital project oversight, with distinct experience supporting federal or defense government programs.
  • Direct experience in federal procurement workflows.
  • Proven background in technical writing for SOWs.
  • Strong grasp of construction cost-estimation methodologies required to generate accurate IGEs.
  • Background in government contract administration and construction management.
  • Tracking critical path schedules.
  • Evaluating contractor deliverables.
  • Rigorous field-engineering or quality-assurance background.
  • Hands-on experience handling standard construction administrative tasks (such as RFIs and submittments).
  • Enforcing federal safety codes on active jobsites.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or previous work experience at Picatinny Arsenal or US Army facilities.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Current or previous work experience at Picatinny Arsenal or US Army facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Developing requirements, creating comprehensive Scopes of Work (SOW), and calculating accurate Independent Government Estimates (IGE) to define project requirements, establish baselines, and facilitate the acquisition process.
  • Supporting all project management activities by monitoring construction contractor performance, monitoring schedule adherence, and ensuring strict quality control.
  • Organizing and participating in site inspections, reviewing technical submittments, processing Requests for Information (RFIs), and providing input on milestones, ensuring that all construction phases fully comply with federal regulations, safety standards, and approved contract documents.
