About The Position
This role owns the extrusion process for medical tubing. The Sr. Extrusion Engineer will be the technical lead from new product development through commercialization, and will serve as a mentor for the engineering team. The position involves designing extrusion tooling, having a voice in capital equipment selection, and contributing to the long-term technology roadmap. This is a full-time, onsite role with opportunities to develop future engineering leaders.
Requirements
- Designed extrusion tooling, not only run it
- Written and executed IQ/OQ/PQ protocols
- Current passport for occasional international travel
Nice To Haves
- Microbore, multilumen, tapered, or reinforced tubing experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, validate, and sustain medical tubing extrusion processes
- Design, qualify, and maintain extrusion and downstream tooling
- Lead IQ/OQ/PQ, process characterization, and capability studies
- Run root cause investigations and put corrective actions in place
- Own PFMEAs, control plans, validation protocols, and SOPs
- Support technical quoting, manufacturability assessments, and customer audits
- Mentor engineers, technicians, and manufacturing staff
