About The Position

Milestone Equipment Holdings is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing transportation equipment leasing and rental providers with over 70,000 trailers and containers in our nationwide network. We are seeking a Senior ERP Systems Analyst. The Senior ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for the ongoing support, enhancement, and optimization of Milestone Equipment’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors. The goal of this role is to ensure that ERP solutions effectively support business needs while maintaining system stability, data integrity, and performance. This position has regular interaction with all departments and levels of leadership within the organization as well as vendors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an ERP analyst, ERP support, ERP development, or ERP consulting role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or implementing an ERP system in a production environment.
  • Experience managing configuration packages, web services, APIs, and other data integration touch points.
  • Must be able to read complex SQL code, develop new SQL logic (queries, stored procedures, etc), and troubleshoot existing SQL code when issues arise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for the purposes of database querying and data analysis (pivot tables, tables, lists, etc).
  • In depth understanding of core ERP business processes (e.g., customers, invoicing, general ledger, AP/AR, fixed asset management, service order generation, and purchase order processing).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional ERP solutions.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task are required.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing workflow and needs of the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV 2018.
  • Experience with other enterprise ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, or Infor.
  • Experience supporting ERP upgrades or system migrations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the organizational subject matter expert (SME) for the support, usage, and administration of the ERP system.
  • Provide day‑to‑day functional and technical support for the ERP system, including issue triage, root‑cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Monitor ERP system performance, integrations, and batch processes to ensure reliability and data integrity.
  • Manage ERP security roles, permissions, and environment configurations in accordance with least-privilege security best practices and audit requirements.
  • Partner with departmental stakeholders to understand organizational needs and translate them into ERP solutions.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend system improvements, configuration changes, or automation opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ERP usability, efficiency, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with external vendor partners on customizations, extensions, and integrations.
  • Review functional and technical specifications to ensure solutions align with best practices and IT strategy.
  • Participate in ERP upgrades, patches, and version migrations, including testing and validation.
  • Develop complex data solutions through the usage of query tools, manually writing SQL code, and the querying of ERP system databases.
  • Investigate data anomalies and recommend solutions.
  • Support ERP data management activities, including data governance, configuration packages, and data quality reviews.
  • Coordinate with external vendor partners and internal IT team members to support data flows between the ERP and other business systems.
  • Develop and execute user acceptance test plans for system changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation, system procedures, and user guides.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end users to further adoption and effective ERP usage.
