About The Position

The Vehicle Engineering Labs Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of vehicle testing facilities. This role includes daily operations support and customer coordination, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of testing and maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of automotive- or aerospace-related testing experience.
  • Experience operating and maintaining climate chamber and chassis dynamometer facilities strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with automotive and electrified powertrain vehicles preferred.
  • Fabrication, wiring, and building control system troubleshooting experience
  • A proven track record of problem-solving and independent root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to produce clear, organized, and timely documentation.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong interest in automotive technology.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of testing facilities.
  • Develop, document, and implement testing and maintenance procedures in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Install instrumentation, test equipment, and other components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and/or test procedures
  • Provide daily operational and test execution support across multiple facilities.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities.
