About The Position

Cleerly, Inc. is a technology-based healthcare company whose mission is to create digital care pathways to prevent heart attacks. Cleerly, Inc, in Denver, CO is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to assist with the development of the next generation healthcare diagnosis system, with cutting edge technologies. Cleerly has created a new standard of care for heart disease through value-based, AI-driven precision diagnostic solutions with the goal of helping prevent heart attacks. Our technology goes beyond traditional measures of heart disease by enabling comprehensive quantification and characterization of atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup, in each of the heart arteries. Cleerly’s solutions are supported by more than a decade of performing some of the world’s largest clinical trials to identify important findings beyond symptoms that increase a person’s risk of heart attacks. At Cleerly, we collaborate digitally and use a wide variety of systems. Our people use Google Workspace (GMail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Confluence/Jira, and Zoom Video, prior experience in these areas is a plus. Role or department specific technology needs may vary and will be listed as requirements in the job description. While we are mostly a remote company, travel is required for some team meetings and cross function projects typically once per month or once per quarter, for some roles like sales or external facing roles travel could be up to 90% of the time. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related Engineering or IT field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).
  • Experience in at least two of the following program languages: C++; C#; Java; Ruby; Python; Rust; TypeScript; or JavaScript
  • Experience with Node.js and the associated frameworks, including Express
  • Web security and performance tuning, and web service API design, including RESTful and GraphQL
  • Experience with AWS and NoSQL Database, including at least one of the following: PostgreSQL; MySQL; Oralce; DB2; Derby; MongoDB; DynamoDB
  • Experience with automation tools including: Maven; Gradle; Ant; Grunt; and Gulp.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Google Workspace (GMail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Confluence/Jira, and Zoom Video is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create the latest software technologies required for the company, interacting constantly with the team
  • Work with internal software development teams to integrate software solutions with the healthcare diagnosis systems
  • Create cloud architecture in AWS for all company services
  • Oversee software development individual contributors working on the CI/CD pipeline
  • Build and manage the AWS infrastructure platform using Terraform (infrastructure as code)
  • Direct, oversee and participate in the building of software development processes and CI/CD pipelines
  • Stay aligned with Sprint development
  • Work collaboratively across multi-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Take novel approaches to software development and implement all functional requirements as set by the Product Managers across multiple teams
  • Adhere to quality management mechanisms and train staff accordingly
  • Serve as a SME for junior engineers
  • Implement security standards within software
  • Attend meeting with upper management and prepare presentations for software development.
  • Manage front-end and back-end engineers, building professional growth plans
  • Recruiting and interviewing candidates for new roles
  • Mentoring engineers and training new hires on the technical platform
  • Represent technical team to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Set timelines and determine team capacity & velocity
