This role provides quality assurance support for T&S Engineering projects and drawings related to utility infrastructure modifications. The position involves interpreting engineering standards, managing document control processes, and ensuring timely task completion in compliance with internal procedures. Extended hours, including 24/7 coverage during emergencies, may be required.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3 or more years of technical experience, OR an associate's degree in a technical field and 5 or more years of technical experience, OR 7 or more years of technical experience or relevant education if non-degreed or a non-technical degree.
  • Successful completion of the Technician Occupations Selection Systems (TECH) test (A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university exempts this requirement).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
  • Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
  • Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.
  • Proficient Computer Drawing and Computer Assisted Design skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Equivalent Relevant Education / Experience: bachelor's degree (technical field) (1) AND 3 or more years of relevant technical experience.
  • Non-degreed or non-technical degree equivalent relevant education (2) AND 7 or more years of relevant technical experience.
  • Associates Degree in Business Management or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with electronic document management systems, like BlueCielo Meridian, and knowledge of documentation management processes.
  • Experience working in regulated environments like IT security, data privacy, CEII, and NERC CIP.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, AutoCAD, and general computer functions.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and maintaining the Document Management System, including technical data, engineering and supplier drawings, technical specifications, and other project-oriented documents (hard copy to digital conversion, scanning, file management, file tracking).
  • Ensuring procedures are established, followed, and maintained in compliance with documented procedures and regulations.
  • Training personnel on the Document Management system, practices, and procedures.
  • Developing T&S Engineering Document Control specific processes and associated procedures.
  • Serving as a Document Control reviewer, ensuring documents and changes comply with established requirements of the T&S Engineering department.
  • Highlighting problem areas and making process improvements.
  • Supporting engineering initiatives, programs, clean-up activities, and other assignments.
  • Managing accounts, roles, and privileges within the document management system.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of current design processes.
  • Participating on teams, such as those designing high voltage transmission and distribution circuits.
  • Updating and managing the T&S Engineering Document Management System.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail when editing and maintaining applicable policies, procedures, forms, and drawings.
  • Proactively monitoring and facilitating timely document reviews and approvals by collaborating with appropriate representatives.
  • Providing technical assistance to engineering design technicians and associate engineering design technicians.
  • Applying technical knowledge to promote a safe work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $87,200.00/Yr. – $119,900.00/Yr.
