About The Position

ADP is hiring a Sr. Engineering Construction Project Manager. The role involves leading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction real estate projects, including planning, organizing, controlling, and deploying key milestones, deliverables, and resources according to client and business goals. Project management will follow preferred project life cycles using specific templates and techniques to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets. The role encompasses managing all project phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Success in this role will lead to high Associate satisfaction scores and positive project team sentiment, within a company that values inclusion and fosters friendships.

Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years of construction project management experience and/or continuous improvement experience
  • 50%-60% travel to other ADP offices highly necessary
  • Prior work experience leading medium to large cross-functional and/or multi-year projects from concept to delivery
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, tools, and structured methodologies
  • Ability to guide and inspire others in a consultative approach and drive collaboration and client focus with the project team and internal partners
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities (flexibility/adaptability)
  • Demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills and apply basic concepts in new situations
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and in a collaborative environment; partner, collaborate, and work in a team (and matrixed) environment
  • Ability to coach, train, and mentor other team members with less experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage large project teams responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets.
  • Develop strong partnerships and working relationships at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Identify cross-functional resources critical to project objectives and build diverse collaborative teams to drive business success.
  • Lead and influence initiatives and projects to provide strategic insights which enable efficient execution of project deliverables and milestones, including managing the full life cycle of projects.
  • Provide analysis and status reports of the project, including business case, ROI, and post-project review.
  • Assess, manage, resolve, and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues.
  • Provide recommendations and suggest best practices with the expectation of always creating an exceptional client implementation experience.
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to approach new situations.
