Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our team in Miami, FL. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or better in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Registered as a PE in the State of Florida
  • Proven experience in the design/construction of Civil Engineering Projects (facilities/utilities)
  • Relevant technical expertise
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Approximately 10 years of progressive experience in the municipal water/wastewater and/or public works field of engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design, and construction administration of multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater treatment systems for municipal type clients in the South Florida area.
  • Perform technical design and collaborate with engineers, contractors and consultants, to successfully execute these types of projects.
  • Review and oversight of detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water/wastewater systems.
  • Performing or managing engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments and consultants required for multi-discipline projects.
  • Research and utilize available resources.
  • Lead or assist a project team in completing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Gather data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources.
  • Perform calculations and research in support of designs using engineering formulas and skills in formulating possible results based on different scenarios.
  • Prepare engineering reports, opinions and recommendations.
  • Maintain completed project files and proper document control.
  • Coordination and management of complete project life-cycle from assessment, planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up.
