About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on hands-on technical engineering (80%), serving as the first and final technical escalation point for complex incidents, problems, and requests. You will perform advanced troubleshooting across M365, identity, networking, server, cloud, and endpoint systems. A significant part of the role involves managing identity lifecycle processes, administering Azure AD/Entra, Intune, M365, and Azure resources, and maintaining various operating systems and network systems. Additionally, you will oversee RMM platform operations, cloud and physical network management, endpoint security, printer environments, and backup configurations. The role also includes service delivery responsibilities such as ensuring adherence to ITIL processes, driving continuous improvement, maintaining configuration management, and engaging in operational reviews. A customer-first orientation and availability during major production-impacting events are crucial. The remaining 20% of the role focuses on Teamwork and Growth, including providing technical guidance, mentorship, collaborating with other departments, maintaining communication and documentation, and supporting the onboarding of new team members.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, and Azure administration.
  • Hands-on experience with identity lifecycle, MFA, RBAC, conditional access, and identity governance.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server (2012/2016/2022/2025) and Windows 10/11.
  • Strong networking knowledge including VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, ACLs, Wi-Fi systems, and firewall administration.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments including VMware ESXi and vSphere.
  • Skilled in RMM and endpoint management platforms.
  • Experience with cloud and physical network management across hybrid infrastructures.
  • PowerShell proficiency (required).
  • Endpoint management across macOS, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), and Windows.
  • Familiarity with backup platforms including Veeam, Datto, and Quest.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Professional Services, and Leadership to ensure high-quality customer experiences.
  • Maintain strong communication rhythms and ensure consistent documentation across environments.
  • Support onboarding and training of new engineering team members.
  • Serve as the first—and final—technical escalation point for complex incidents, problems, and requests.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across M365, identity, networking, server, cloud, and endpoint systems.
  • Participate in identity lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, RBAC enforcement, MFA, conditional access, and platform alignment.
  • Administer and support Azure AD/Entra, Intune, M365, and Azure resource configurations.
  • Manage configuration, maintenance, patching, and lifecycle operations for Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux endpoints, and Windows Servers (2012–2025).
  • Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of networking systems including firewalls (Fortinet/SonicWall/Meraki), switching, routing, and Wi-Fi.
  • Oversee RMM platform operations, patch compliance, monitoring, and automation script implementation.
  • Support cloud and physical network management, including Azure tenant operations and CSP management tasks.
  • Implement endpoint security controls as defined by Averro’s CISO.
  • Manage printer environments, including Direct Print and managed deployments (ex: Vasion).
  • Maintain backup configurations (Veeam, Datto, Quest) and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across engineering workflows and customer environments.
  • Oversee configuration management, documentation accuracy, and environment health baselines.
  • Engage in operational reviews, root-cause analysis, and remediation planning as required.
  • Maintain a strong customer-first orientation, including availability during major production-impacting events.
