About The Position

Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking to fill the position of Sr. Project Engineer focused on Water & Wastewater project design in our Chattanooga, TN office location. This role provides technical guidance on project scope, budgets, and schedules, and supports Project Managers by providing technical leadership on various projects. The engineer will conduct technical planning representing analysis, creating designs, preparing reports, and other various tasks. They will design a complete project, system, component, or process, and review and prepare complete project documents for conformity and project assurance. This role also involves influencing stakeholders and managing stakeholder relationships within and outside Barge, directing on-site visits to monitor project progress, and mentoring and reviewing the work of more junior staff for quality purposes. The Sr. Project Engineer will act as a technical lead on multi-phase or complex projects, applying thorough knowledge and proficiency acquired through progressive experience to resolve challenging issues. They can be considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a discipline or market practice area and will stay informed regarding new methods and developments affecting the organization, recommending new practices or changes in emphasis. Effective collaboration with business and teams to meet defined objectives is essential, and other duties as requested will be performed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
  • Registered PE.

Responsibilities
