The Senior Engineer will work with complex systems and equipment, while providing engineering and technical services to support our growing organization. Areas of expertise include designing new substations and infrastructure, analyzing systems and disruptions to service, working with transformers, engineering the electrical protection and control circuits that handles the flow of power, and dealing with acceptance testing of equipment, failures of equipment and analysis of system disturbances. This position provides technical engineering support for Transmission and Distribution substation equipment. The Senior Engineer will independently perform engineering analyses, review diagnostic and test reports, and provide technical engineering guidance related to equipment condition, maintenance, and reliability, including the administration and support of oil sampling, testing, and analysis programs with applied engineering judgment to identify abnormal conditions, trends, and potential risks. The role supports and contributes technical input to engineering projects, including the integration of online monitoring technologies for substation assets, and serves as a technical resource to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure data accuracy, effective asset management, and reliable operation of critical substation equipment. In addition, this position contributes to maintenance and asset strategies, supports emergency response activities, and assists in the continuous improvement of analytical methods, reporting tools, and engineering support processes.
