Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields
1+ years work experience in research and development
Knowledge of polymer science, including polymer chemistry, structure property relationships, rheology, bulk and adhesive mechanics of soft materials.
Technical expert in adhesive chemistries, composite materials, polymer network physics, highly filled suspension rheology, and/or resin cure chemistry.
Familiarity with product development processes such as stage gate reviews and project initiation
Knowledge of MS Office, Labview, Autocad or solid drawing programs and other common technical software packages

Responsibilities

Manages laboratory functions, including inventory tracking, purchasing of consumables, and raw material onboarding
Identifies and develops new approaches, solutions, processes, products, methods within an agreed timeframe
Ensures compliance with Henkel corporate SHE standards, policies and procedures and manages the lab and innovation process
Provides technical support services to Manufacturing and Quality as required
Executes process developments to support cross-functional teams to achieve completion of new technology products consistent with strategic objectives
Provides guidance and recommendations on patents, trademarks and proprietary agreements
Approves technical readiness of raw materials and products as well as first production and quality specs
Tests or supervises tests on product stability and performance
