The engineer conducts power-system analyses and reliability assessments, identifies necessary transmission upgrades, evaluates system adequacy, and develops and maintains transmission-system models. The role contributes to new planning methods and practices, prepares reports and presentations, and provides recommendations to PJM management concerning bulk power facilities, programs, procedures, and policies. The engineer collaborates with transmission owners and colleagues in the System Planning Division and represents PJM on industry committees, task forces, and stakeholder groups. The position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements; management will confirm available options, and business needs may require reporting to campus.
