Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED & 10 years of directly related experience OR Associate’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 4 years of directly related experience OR Master's degree and 2 years directly related experience OR Doctorate degree
  • Experience within a utilities' plant within industry, especially with water systems.
  • Experience with GMP
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, methods and practices.
  • Basic understanding of cGMPs as applied to biotechnology products.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for assigned clean utility systems.
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and compliance to ensure consistent operation.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, investigations, and operational issues.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and system documentation.
  • Lead asset lifecycle management activities for utility systems.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain preventive maintenance strategies within Maximo.
  • Maintain asset records, equipment hierarchies, job plans, and maintenance documentation.
  • Analyze maintenance and reliability data to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
  • Lead utility-related capital projects from design through commissioning and turnover.
  • Develop technical requirements, specifications, and engineering assessments.
  • Support startup, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities.
  • Coordinate project activities with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and external contractors.
  • Support change controls, deviations, investigations, and CAPA activities impacting utility systems.
  • Ensure utility systems remain compliant with GMP requirements and site standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and validation activities as the engineering representative.
