Adventist Health is seeking a Sr. Employee & Labor Relations Advisor for a full-time position with 8-hour day shifts. This role supports Burbank, CA locations and may be assigned to one of three markets depending on operational needs. The position provides guidance, support, and expertise in employee and labor relations matters, including discipline, coaching, performance management, and HR policy interpretation. Key objectives include ensuring legal compliance and adherence to system policies and procedures in a consistent, objective, and fair manner. The advisor will guide managers and employees on employee and labor relations issues, investigate formal complaints, make recommendations, and ensure legal requirements are met. This role collaborates with other HR team members across the Adventist Health system to address organizational needs and contributes to projects like change management and policy implementation. It also participates in the administration of labor relations programs, including contract interpretation, investigation, and processing of employee grievances and discipline. The advisor handles traditional labor questions, union organizing, interpretation of complex contract terms, policies, or rules, and discipline/employment-related issues. They advise and direct market HR teams with direct interaction with local unions and business units, serving as a liaison between leadership and local unions on various business aspects, technological advances, new initiatives, legal changes, and modifications to terms and conditions of employment for unionized associates.
