About The Position

The Role: You will test, rework and debug printed circuit boards, build experimental setups for design testing of high-speed electromechanical assemblies for new product development. You will be a vital contributor to the development of new laser engraving and inkjet printing products and work in a new group of talented engineers within a well-established multinational company.

Requirements

an associate’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience
Experience reworking PCBs, solder to add or remove components
Experience with at least one data acquisition system
Use of lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, Function generator, soldering station, etc.)
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Debug under the guidance of an Engineer
Attention to details
Eagerness to learn new skills and new tools
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
MSOffice tools

Nice To Haves

Altium designer
Simple mechanical machining skills
Some 3D mechanical CAD experience
Programming of motor drives
Jr. level layout and design of PCBs

Responsibilities

Debug and design validation of board and system level electronic designs
Design validation testing (major focus on electronics)
Conduct testing of mechanical, electrical, and optical components, subsystems and systems
Document experimental conditions and test results
Build prototypes and test fixtures; interface with external vendors for complex parts
Inspect incoming parts
Manage lab and lab equipment, including calibration
Effectively interact with other members of the technical team to create a safe, fun, and productive work environment
Design and verify cables
