About The Position

Senior-level engineer applying electrical engineering knowledge and skills for large, complex, long duration engineering projects. Manage and prioritize projects or programs of large size, scope, and duration. Lead and coordinate project work with other engineers, technicians, designers and/or drafters. Troubleshoot, analyze, identify, evaluate, propose, implement, and document engineering solutions, electrical designs and software systems for machine and process controls. Lead the creation and modification of designs and requirements for automated production equipment, electrical and hardware schematics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) ladder logic, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and controls software. Oversee equipment debug and installations. Identify broad conceptual ideas and develop them into useful solutions. Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information and draft reports, and improve equipment, processes, and products. Create test parameters and participate in the testing and implementation of engineering solutions. Establish continuous improvement plans where efficiency, quality, safety, or service can be improved. Mentor other engineers.

Requirements

Requires one of the following: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and six (6) years of related engineering experience, OR Associate’s degree and twelve (12) years of related engineering experience
Experience designing, developing, implementing and troubleshooting complex control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) ladder logic, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and controls software
Experience utilizing 5S procedures
Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various products
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Ability to successfully prioritize, and manage large, complex projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information
