About The Position

Our Electrical team is focused on the design of electrical power distribution, grounding, raceway and lighting systems for commercial buildings and industrial/manufacturing facilities. Commercial project work scopes include tenant improvement/refurbishment of building lighting and power apparatus, communicating electric service requirements with the Utility company, developing one-line or riser diagrams, design and specification of lighting and lighting controls, including emergency systems, and coordinating electrical design to support building environmental and plumbing systems. Analysis of building electrical systems will include demand and load flow studies, short circuit analysis, arc flash risk assessment, and power factor correction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 8+ years of experience.

  • Propel the success of the company through your technical expertise and professional conduct.
  • Contribute to the success of projects by leading people (direct and indirect reports) and executing safe and constructable technical design scopes.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering services rooted in a depth of knowledge of engineering fundamentals, design codes and industry standards, together with your problem-solving ability, analytical skills, engineering judgment, and personal diligence.
  • Propel team success by setting the standard for technical excellence and efficiency, setting direction for the production team, and mentoring and training engineers and technical staff.
  • Maintain discipline-specific project scope, schedules and budgets for individual projects and coordinate with disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and reliably assess design options in the preliminary phase to inform sound decision-making by the project team and/or client. Communicate concepts effectively.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as primary technical client contact on projects.
  • Perform technical reviews of design deliverables for quality and for coordination with all disciplines.
  • Perform site visits/observations. (Potential 10% travel to construction job sites).
  • Prepare, review, and execute proposals.
  • Participate in marketing efforts to develop and sustain targeted clients in key market sectors.
