Scope: The Sr. Driver Specialist will be responsible for transporting both raw materials and finished goods between Heartland facilities, vendor and customer locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class A CDL Driver’s License with clean MVR and Driver CSA Score(s)
Complete and current DOT Physical
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations and DOT guidelines
Must have all Endorsements or the ability to obtain them within 3 months of hire
Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience with a Tractor Trailer preferred, of which one year must be current
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attention to detail
Must have the ability to work extended hours
Ability to effectively use maps and directions for efficient routing

Responsibilities

Knowledge of local major and minor roadways
Proficient in operating a variety of types of Trucks and Industrialized Trucks
Ability to effectively use maps and directions for efficient routing
Ability to handle multiple tasks while navigating competing priorities
Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
Ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels; conducts self in polite and professional manner
Demonstrates a motivation to provide fast, accurate and complete customer service at all times to all internal and external customers
Ability to apply organizational skills when given a task with the ability to manage and prioritize time
