The Senior District Fitness Manager (SDFM) ensures that all assigned clubs within a district deliver an outstanding Member and Team Member experience to achieve financial success. The Senior District Fitness Manager's major emphasis is to motivate, train and develop a diverse team of Fitness Team Members to deliver on company fitness goals, including supporting other District Fitness managers within the region and across the company.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead, develop and inspire a high performing team.
  • Proven ability and demonstrated experience driving multi-unit business performance.
  • 3-5 years of progressive management experience supervising employees.
  • High level of accountability and focus on the Member experience to deliver profitability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong level of proficiency in project management, time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in fitness, personal training, or group exercise

Responsibilities

  • Leads execution and provides direction on the Fitness strategy aligned with the needs of the district(s) while delivering on company-wide fitness initiatives.
  • Set the strategy to achieve overall budget targets for the Fitness business including personal training, group fitness and functional training programs.
  • Responsible and accountable for fitness operational execution and delivering performance by understanding and driving Fitness Coach performance within a given district; provides guidance and mentoring for DFM direct reports in driving success routines
  • Supports region/district/clubs to manage the fitness department including scheduling, team member hiring, coaching and development; supports DFM direct reports in recruiting, hiring and onboarding as necessary
  • Assists with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new DFMs
  • Operates in a matrix environment with a high level of collaboration between District Manager, and regional partners to create and execute growth strategies to increase member participation in various fitness offerings including personal training and group fitness.
  • Responsible for the growth and performance of the group fitness (GX) business including support of local clubs in evaluating class offerings and ensuring member retention and engagement through Group X offerings.
  • Guide DFMs within their region in preparing monthly business reviews; performs mid month check-ins on business performance
  • First point of contact for operational and administriative tactics (i.e., expense report approvals, session reinstates, session escalations)
  • Actively leads aspects of monthly fitness business reviews and communication cascades
