About The Position

Provides governance for all Delek turnarounds. Assures readiness for turnarounds prior to execution. Provides onsite support and leadership during execution, in support of the site turnaround manager. Owns and administers corporate turnaround work processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Ten (10) or more years Management experience in a maintenance role (Reliability/Predictive Maintenance, Turnaround, Planning/Scheduling/Cost) (Required)
  • Fifteen (15) or more years Operations and/or maintenance experience in the Chemical/Petrochemical/Refining industry (Required)
  • Working knowledge of Industrial engineering, safety, and IHS standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of major turnarounds and turnaround projects processes and have experience in estimating, planning, coordinating and executing shutdowns

Responsibilities

  • Sits in PMO group, supports 3+ sites, ensuring Turnaround execution processes are being followed within the area including notification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution, and feedback
  • Leads the implementation of Turnaround strategies and implementation of reliability strategies consistent with Asset Management
  • Coaches area personnel and holds them accountable for the delivery of results and supporting mutually agreed upon development needs
  • Ensures mechanical integrity programs are followed - inspection/testing, preventive/predictive maintenance programs (vessel/piping, PSV, structural steel, cathodic protection, vibration monitoring lubrication, paint/corrosion protection, seal, program)
  • Ensures required and regulatory area capabilities are maintained through adequate training and succession planning
  • Establishes and monitors defined area Turnaround dashboard, metrics, and KPIs
  • Ensures resource sharing within their area and other site areas
  • Ensures work execution productivity (Time on Tools) supporting optimized Turnaround cost
  • Supports autonomous maintenance activities of the area’s Production personnel
  • Ensures application of all safety rules and required EHS/regulatory training, assuring personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors
