About The Position

This role provides enterprise leadership for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality technology across DePuy Synthes. The Sr. Director is responsible for defining and executing the digital strategy that enables reliable product supply, compliant manufacturing, and strong quality outcomes at scale. This position partners closely with Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and IT leaders to modernize platforms, strengthen data and analytics, and drive measurable business value through technology and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
  • 12-14 years of progressive experience in IT or digital leadership roles supporting Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Quality in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end supply planning and production planning in a manufacturing environment, translating demand signals into feasible, capacity- and material-constrained plans.
  • Strong understanding of S&OP / IBP processes, including demand/supply balancing, scenario modeling, and decision-making cadence from executive level through site execution.
  • Demonstrated success leading large‑scale, global technology programs and complex transformations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality systems (e.g., ERP, MES, QMS) and data‑driven decision making.
  • Experience operating in highly regulated industries with strong compliance and validation expectations.
  • People leadership experience, including building diverse, inclusive, and high‑performing teams.
  • English proficiency required.

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience supporting medical device or life sciences manufacturing environments.
  • Background in digital manufacturing, advanced analytics, or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Experience managing global system integrators and strategic technology vendors.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi‑year technology budgets.
  • Change leadership experience in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence outcomes at the executive level.
  • IT, supply chain, or program management certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set and lead the end‑to‑end technology strategy for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality, aligned to DePuy Synthes business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Own the application and data landscape supporting planning, sourcing, manufacturing execution, quality management, and distribution, ensuring stability, scalability, and compliance.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate operational needs into roadmaps, investments, and measurable outcomes, including cost, service, and quality improvements.
  • Lead large, cross‑functional programs such as ERP, MES, QMS, serialization, and advanced analytics initiatives across global sites.
  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize supply chain platforms, improving demand forecasting, planning accuracy, and end‑to‑end decision-making while driving efficient and resilient supply chain operations at scale.
  • Ensure regulatory, data integrity, and cybersecurity compliance across all manufacturing and quality technology platforms.
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high‑performing global technology organization, including internal teams and strategic partners.
  • Establish strong governance, vendor management, and financial oversight for technology investments and operating spend.
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and standardization to enable resilient and future‑ready supply chains.
