About The Position

Develops Enterprise-wide strategy for assessing insured risks across all relevant insurance lines, identifies the need for coverage and limits, determines appropriate risk transfer goals, determines the effective use of the insurance market, self-insured retentions, deductibles, captive insurance programs, and RMIS systems. As the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer, we operate over 2,200 retail stores across North America. Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and operationalize compliance policies and processes
  • Ensures compliance with all insurance capital and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with safety, legal, and finance leaders, among others, to explain insurance programs and their benefits and impacts.
  • Procures and utilizes effective risk management systems.
  • Lead and develop ongoing management of risk program
  • Provides leadership direction to Risk Management Department.
  • Serves as lead contact for the insurance industry including insurance brokers and the insurance market overall.
  • Selects, develops, and motivates staff within Risk Management.
  • Perform activities to monitor and assess risk on an ongoing basis
  • Identifies and evaluates insurable exposure.
  • Evaluates appropriate balance between insurance, self-insurance, and captive utilization.
