About The Position

As Sr. Director, Product Management for our Revolving Credit product team, you will create, own, manage and scale our revolving credit products for merchants and consumers across the US & UK, including our PayPal Credit Card (PPCC), PayPal Credit (PPC), PayPal Cashback Mastercard Business (CBMC). You’ll drive the vision, roadmap and execution for our suite of revolving credit products that help merchants and consumers purchase with credit, while realizing unique benefits such as cashback, points, and no interest for a period of time on specific purchases. We are seeking an exceptional product leader who thrives on changing the status quo and is laser focused on making every experience seamless, simple, and intuitive. Requirements

12+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of experience leading others
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering or a related field.
15+ years of product management experience.
10+ years of experience managing teams of product managers/leaders.
Prior experience at a FinTech or in the financial services space working on credit products. We will also consider candidates with prior experience in adjacent domains and/or in heavily regulated industries.
Proven track record of launching successful products on mobile and on web.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional groups and delivering results in fast paced, high-growth, and matrixed environments.
Deep empathy and appreciation of customer needs.
Demonstrated success delivering 0-1 products as well as scaling existing products.
Ability to grasp complex business/technical concepts, user scenarios, and business drivers, address ambiguity and make informed decisions.
Proficiency dealing with product complexity and initiative ambiguity.
Exceptional written, verbal, and listening communication skills and proficient communicating across a range of stakeholders.
Strong data and analytical background.
Proven track record multitasking and managing multiple releases concurrently.
A team player who puts people first and wants to win as a team.

Responsibilities

Establish a shared vision across the company for a portfolio of products, or platform products enabling development & scalability, with a deliberate and cohesive strategy.
Leads product strategy development, and develops a clear, executable view of the product portfolio strategy with cross-functional stakeholders.
Shapes the architectural roadmap and balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
Champions the customer experience and prioritizes customer needs in product requirements and decision making.
Defines and uses metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
Standardizes workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsible for product portfolio profitability, including budgetary decisions.
Leads operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with senior leadership as needed.
Maximizes efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the standard.
Develop and implement product strategies that align to PayPal and the Financial services organization’s strategic objectives and ensure a cohesive and comprehensive vision for our revolving credit products.
Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch including research, design, development, experimentation and iteration.
Work closely with our internal teams like design, engineering, commercial, marketing, legal, compliance, risk, data, identity and customer service teams as well as external partners (Synchrony Financial, credit bureaus, networks) to ensure product success. Facilitate communication and alignment across teams and departments.
Participate in the development and execution of enterprise-level strategic planning processes, aligning release and program roadmaps with the organization’s overarching vision and OKR’s. Ensure that all initiatives are strategically positioned to maximize their contribution to the company’s long-term success.
Lead and mentor a team of diverse product leaders and managers. Foster a culture of working customer back, putting people first, winning as a team, innovation, growth and excellence. Participate in personal performance management and development activities including cross-training.
Define and articulate through narratives, presentations, and documentation the vision and direction of our revolving credit products.
Challenge traditional products and experiences and build the next generation of revolving credit products and experiences.
